 This is a story about four people named  Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.

Payroll Provider is ADP

We use ADP for our payroll processing and HR management. Within ADP there is a handbook that has all of our policies along with state and federal employment guidelines. Because these guidelines change so frequently we will not list all of that here but rather refer to our handbook which you are required to acknowledge in your onboarding with ADP. The handbook is always accessible to you in the ADP Run app while you are employed. We will however layout some general day to day guidelines below.

  • Company apparel required
  • Shorts are fine
  • hats are fine and we usually have hats that you can have along with extra shirts. If you wear your own hat, it needs to be appropriate ie. no alcohol brands or controversial subjects. 
  • We highly recommend working in waterproof shoes or boots.

Punctuality

  • Be on time ready to work. Full attendance policy is in the handbook.
  • If you start at 7am that means you need to be ready to work at 7am not pulling into the parking lot at 7am. Our entire business revolves around timing. 
  • We work in teams of 2 most of the time so last minute call outs or no call/no shows are unacceptable unless a verified emergency. Be respectful of your teammates and the bind that puts us in.

Punctuality

  • Scheduling is done thru ADP which you can see in real time 24/7.
  • We expect that you will keep your schedule availability up to date at least 2 weeks ahead of time. If your schedule shows you available to work and we schedule you then you are expected to work as scheduled. 
  • Shift swaps do happen but are not encouraged. If you are swapping a shift DO NOT ask us to figure it out for you. You and the person agree to the shift swap and inform us of the change which we will then make in ADP. 
  • We want to be flexible but at the same time we are running a business that is time sensitive. We cannot reschedule customers events therefore we have to be on time, on schedule, every time.

  • Attitude is everything. We look for employees that have a can-do leadership quality attitude. Hard work beats talent that doesn't work hard every time. 
  • We never say "thats not my job". If somebody isn't pulling their weight let us know and it will be handled. 
  • Some days are pretty easy and some days can be tough. You have to take the good with the bad and have a positive attitude regardless. 
  • ALWAYS treat customers with kindness, empathy and respect. Our customers are often stressed out when we deliver because of their role in the event or party. We do not want to add to their stress but rather ease it with our professionalism. 
  • Smiles, hellos, thank yous go a LONG way with customers.
