DELIVERY PROCESS

STEP 1 - PARK APPROPRIATELY

STEP 3 - SET UP (1 unit delivery)

STEP 2 - BEGIN UNLOADING TRUCK

  • The first step to an efficient delivery process is appropriate parking.
  • DO NOT leave pavement or gravel with a truck or you will end up like the picture and potentially ruin an event because you cannot get the equipment out of the truck.
  • Be very safety aware. There are hazards at event sites residential and public. There are often crowds of people and overhead/other hazards.
  • Get your truck into position to be efficient.
  • Residential deliveries have driveways to deal with. We don't normally pull into driveways unless it's a longer driveway of course.
  • If the truck you are using has a liftgate you should have the truck running while using the liftgate.

STEP 2 - BEGIN UNLOADING TRUCK

STEP 3 - SET UP (1 unit delivery)

STEP 2 - BEGIN UNLOADING TRUCK

  • The key is to be efficient. The less trips back to the truck the better.
  • You should be able to put an inflatable, a blower, and a cord on a dolly at one time.
  • One person moves dolly while the other person grabs hammer and stakes.
  • Push into place and begin consulting with client. Do not consult with client first, the first thing you do is move the equipment off the truck and then bring it to the general area and consult with client for set up instructions. Cuts down on back and forth to the truck.

STEP 3 - SET UP (1 unit delivery)

STEP 3 - SET UP (1 unit delivery)

STEP 3 CONTINUED - SET UP (2+ unit delivery)

  • 1 person Rolls out inflatable in agreed upon spot while the other person is running the extension cord. If its a water inflatable then 2 people set tarp first.
  • We DO NOT want to move inflatables once we set them up so make sure the spot is agreed upon and makes sense.
  • Water inflatables slides should be on flat or slight downhill so that the water runs appropriately off the unit. If the slide is going uphill the water will stall out and pool up in the middle of the slide and we will have to go fix the orientation.
  • Get air running on the inflatable ASAP.
  • Do not hammer stakes until you are 100% certain it's not moving.
  • One person hammers stakes while the other person does any cleaning that needs to be done. Unit should be clean when you leave this is VERY IMPORTANT.
  • If the unit is clean when you set it up already (most of the time it should be) then 1 person hammers stakes while the other person cleans up the extension cord and begins to load the dolly/hammer etc.. back into the truck to exit and go to the next stop.
  • Make sure you do not leave anything behind.

STEP 3 CONTINUED - SET UP (2+ unit delivery)

STEP 3 CONTINUED - SET UP (2+ unit delivery)

STEP 3 CONTINUED - SET UP (2+ unit delivery)

  • All of the same guidelines apply but there are multiple pieces of equipment so the strategy to be efficient is different.
  • Once the first unit is in place one person works on getting that unit up and running while the other person goes to the truck and gets the other unit. Repeat until all units in place.
  • There are 2 people on these set ups each should be doing set up tasks seperately unless its a 2 person task (heavy inflatable, setting a tarp etc.). Establish your roles during drivetime so there is no confusion about who is doing what.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

STEP 3 CONTINUED - SET UP (2+ unit delivery)

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Kindness to a customer goes a long way. Greet them, say thank you, let them know you're finished and say goodbye. Interaction goes a long way not only for a good customer experience but for employee tips as well.
